Kateryna Magas is a professional Ukrainian fine art painter. She finished Art College in 1998 and the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in 2002 from the educational and fine arts department.

In 2002 Kateryna moved to Canada and has founded her own fine art studio – “Art Star Creations”. The studio provides academic fine art classes for children and adults. Also, she teaches decorative art classes for painting Ukrainian Easter eggs, Beading, and decorative Christmas ball painting. She has been exhibiting art since1998 in both the Ukraine and Canada.

Since 2010 Kateryna started to paint icons.

She was trained with iconographer Peter Murphy and Philip Davydov in Calgary. Kateryna uses traditional techniques from medieval religious painting, including egg tempera paint and gold leaf.
